Water Jet Cutting

At W. Olsen & Søn A/S, water jet cutting takes place on an axis water cutter from Belotti that is built with a bridge construction, which gives the water jet the freedom to move simultaneously in 3 axes.

The water jet cutter can cut in most materials with a thickness of up to 250mm and has a working area of 2000 x 4000mm, which enables optimal utilization of the material.

Materials

Depending on the material, there are different specifications for how thick the material can be. This is expressed in the table below.

Materiale Max. tykkelse Max. Plade format
Aluminium 200 mm max. 4000 x 2000 mm
Stainless steel 200 mm max. 4000 x 2000 mm
Iron 200 mm max. 4000 x 2000 mm
Glass 200 mm max. 4000 x 2000 mm
Plastic 230 mm max. 4000 x 2000 mm
Stone 200 mm max. 4000 x 2000 mm
Rubber 230 mm max. 4000 x 2000 mm
Foam 230 mm max. 4000 x 2000 mm

Post processing

The surface that the water jet leaves behind is so fine that in most cases we do not need to surface treat the object. Depending on our customers’ wishes, we can change the fineness of the cut surface, for example by varying the speed at which the water jet moves.

Additionally, it is also possible to select several different cutting surface finishes, such as coarse cutting surfaces on free edges and fine cutting surfaces on internal sides.

Water jet Cutting

At W. Olsen & Søn A/S, we mainly use water as a cutting agent, in which sand/granules are added in a suitable amount. The addition of sand/granules means that we can cut in both soft and hard materials – from plastic to steel.

We offer water jet cutting for everyone who may need water jet cutting regardless of the size of your series.
